Buy a Mirro Pressure Canner Online

By

We have a large family and to save money we grow a large garden. We always end up with a lot of vegetables to can. Plus with a large family we cook a lot. Most normal size pots are too small for the amount of serving we have to accommodate So to have a pot big enough to accommodate our needs I bought this 22 quart Mirro pressure cooker/canner. It does what I wanted and more.

I like this Mirro canner so much, I may end up getting another. With the prices continually going up at the grocery store we need to cut costs as much as possible. I find canning my fruits and vegetables to be a big savings on our food bill. Plus the large 22quart pot makes plenty of stew and chili for our family.

Buy a Mirro Pressure Canner Online

I did buy this exact Mirro Pressure Cooker/Canner online and I am sorry that I had waited so long. The 22 quart size has sped up my canning time and this model does not have a pressure gauge which I like even better. I can just put my jars in and listen for the jiggler. A weight system is much better than a gauge if you are doing as much canning as I do.

Pressure Cooker - Canners

Pressure Canners come in more than one brand, I just happen to like my Mirro. Here are some other types of cooker/canners. Go through them and decide for yourself what meets your needs.

You don't always need to spend top dollar to get a good deal. If you notice there is a lot of variation in prices. Expensive doesn't mean better.

Pressure Canning

Pressure canning can be very costly to start out. You need to buy everything and unless you know someone who has a lot of spare canning jars, you will have to buy these also. In order to really save money on your food budget you really need to can in volumes

The only problem I have with canning is so many of our fruits and vegetables all come on at the same time, with the exception of the green beans, and the time of year is usually hot already.

My brother-in-law owns his own trucking company and hauls fruits and vegetables year round. If he gets a load rejected, he ends up with a lot of produce. This is when canning really comes in handy.

So basically I can year round. This large canner doesn't only get used in the fall of the year and get put away gathering dust. Plus the fact that i need a large pot anyway for the family day to day cooking. This kitchenware is very useful for me all around.

I can see the value of buying a 22 quart Mirro pressure cooker/canner. It must be wonderful to be able to grow enough fruit and vegetables so you are able to can them.

Fresh produce from your own garden is always cheaper and tastes so much better too.

We can several items, but mostly a large qunatity of green beans. My wife prefers a home grown variety that is nothing like what you buy in the store. We also can spaghettie sauce, slasa, kraut and apple pie in a jar. Pressure canning is not so bad after you purchase the jars as they can be reused for years.

I have been looking at these for quite some time. My mom had a huge one. Great article on Mirro pressure Canners!
