Retirement Income Streams

As we prepare to do our retirement income planning, the retirement plan will include multiple retirement income streams. We already have our 401K, our Social Security, and other streams of income coming in from property and investments. It sounds like a lot of retirement income, but trust me we are not Donald Trump rich!

Retirement income streams come in all sorts of places. Never do we want to put all our eggs in one basket. We are hoping to make some money online as a retirement income stream we can do on the road while we travel. But, if my computer takes a dump we will also want to make money offline as well to keep retirement income coming in.

Income streams for retirement do not have to be as time consuming and serious as when you were starting your career as a young person. Most people have already given their all to a company. What many retirees are looking for now is a more mobile or flexible way to supplement their income other than living off their 401Ks or Social Security.

I know my husband and myself are looking for fun ways to make money during our retirement and yet make enough to hopefully cover the essential day to day living. It would be wonderful if we could earn enough to avoid using any of our retirement savings until our health depletes to the point where we are incapable of earning any income.

Retirement income streams options are vast. Your retirement income options are only as limited as you make them. It is not like when you were younger where you had to make an income that would fit into your families lifestyle.

Normally retirement means that the kids have grown and it is only you and your significant other. So the boundaries do not exist that you cannot have retirement income options set up any way or any where you want them.

Retirement to many means freedom. So having the freedom to earn an income while you do all the things you had wanted to do during your retirement. Now with the wireless internet in so many places it is much easier to run a business online earning money on your time schedule.

Not interested in starting a business online? That's fine! You could use your wireless internet to keep in touch with the family back home and send photos. Or perhaps you would like to pick up a temporary side job while you are being nomads about the country. Craigslist has helped many people find temporary to full time employment almost any where in the country. If you are a handy man or woman, you can always pick up odd jobs.

There are other places to earn retirement income, options are wide open.

I have just recently joined HubPages in pursuit of earning retirement income here on this site. Our retirement planning consists of earning enough income as to not have to live off of our 401K or Social Security. We also would like protection against financial loss due to some health disaster. With the possibility of earning passive income online it would be great to be able to afford health care and health care insurance against some major illness or disease.

I have joined the 60 day challenge in an effort to learn something about making money online and hopefully this will lead to the ability to build an online income stream for our retirement.
