Make Money Networking Online - 60dc2 Hub-Log
67I realized that I make money networking online when I participated in the first 60 Day Hub Challenge. From that first 60dc I learned how to make money online social networking with like-minded people who were all after the same goal. Working together brought greater returns far exceeding my expectations.
As we begin the new 60 Day Challenge my aim is to network more with the people involved as I now have a better understanding of how making money online means social networking with people and interacting through social networking medias.
Hubpages is more than a way for me to make money online for my retirement income, it is a social network with groups of people working together to help each other out in achieving their goals.

Make Money Networking Online - My Goal
My goal with the second 60dc is to continue to make money networking far after the challenge has ended. With the first challenge I met a great bunch of people that were more than willing to help each other out. We all learned a great deal about promoting our hubs. I feel that I totally dropped the ball however because I did not continue to keep in contact with these people and keep networking with them. This was a big mistake and one I hope to rectify this challenge around.

I decided to do the 60 Day HubPage Challenge implemented by sunforged to see if I can learn how to make money online at home with HubPages. I have only been on HubPages for about 6 weeks and have read a lot how so many people are making money online.
As you can see there was a group of people that stopped by to encourage me. We stayed pretty close during the challenge and supported each other. But after the challenge I have heard from only a few and I definitely have not responded to them either.
This was a big lose on my part. I could have been building this network to support each other here on Hubpages as well as with our own blogs.
Sunforged gave us tons of tools to use and I did not make use of them. Lesson learned!
Networking Support
Networking support is the difference between making money online quicker or going it alone at a very slow pace. The hub networking received during the first challenge was terrific. I expect that during this second 60 day challenge that bonds will be made even tighter than before since we all seen the power of networking together.
An online business is not much different than an off line business. Off line business owners spend a great deal of time networking with their business allies. This helps each business grow with a "You scratch my back, I'll scratch yours" attitude. Networking online works the same way. That's why these private or paid networks work so well. The Keyword Academy is a perfect example of a paid network working together. Relationships are formed through the network support of like minded people coming together.
These challenges should be no different than any other group. There is power in numbers. Hub networking only makes sense.

Hub networking will begin today 8/13/2010 for the new Challenge. As the new challengers come on board I will be doing my part to include them into my network of people and help them out as much as possible. Hopefully we all will learn to grow from this experience.

Hub Stats as of 8/12/2010
I will post my hub stat as of 8/12/2010 to show where I am at at the beginning of this 60 day challenge and then I will post them again at the end of the challenge. My last 60 day challenge my stats were totally different.
Day 2 of the Challenge 8/14/2010
The official start of the 60 day challenge has not started yet. There is a lot to do before hand to prepare for the challenge. As I still work a full time job, I try to use my weekends to create most of my work. This weekend my daughter, her husband and their two children are moving out. It is a little chaotic around here to say the least. They have only been staying with my husband and myself for only 3 months, but it seems as though they have accumulated so much stuff you'd think they have live here for a year.
I was able to get some keyword research done today and have two of my main topics picked. I am really struggling for a third topic. I was also able to get the hub-logs of all the participants posted here and hopefully that helps everyone (myself included).
Day 3 of the Challenge 8/15/2010
Today we continued with the packing and I made a hug Sunday dinner. I was able to work some more on keyword research and get some things going on here. The past couple of days I spent a good deal of time going through everyone's hub-log and leaving comments. I also joined new peoples fan clubs that I had not joined before. I met and read some really interesting bios.
With a couple peoples recommendations I was going to get Market Samurai today but ran out of time. This tool looks like it would really benefit me on my research and I need help in this area to speed things along and hopefully help turn my traffic stats around.
Silence is golden right now since all the kids have left for the day and for the first time in 3 months my husband and I are home alone in this big old house. My energy is drained at the moment from all the extra cooking, cleaning, entertaining and smiling. Time to relax and renew for the challenge ahead.
And the Days Go Buy
Sometimes a personal life seems to get in the way of attaining our goals. When I first started this challenge my slate was emptying. What a difference a day can make. All hell broke loose and I was unable to get any work done for the 60 day challenge. Today is Sept 3rd and this is only the second day that I have had any time to focus on this challenge.
Thankfully this is Labor Day weekend and I have no plans for the weekend except to launch as many hubs as possible. If I fall short this weekend I will have to drop out of this challenge. It is important to me that this does not happen so here we go.
I am not making excuses here I am basically apologizing to my team members for letting them down for the past couple of weeks. I pledge to pick up the pace.

My 30 Day Stats
I thought I would show my stats after thirty days. There is some improvement as should be with 30 more hubs. And a lot of the improvement comes from the team members showing support and reading each others hubs.
Here are my latest stats.
Making Money on HubPages
Today is December 24 2010 and I just wanted to show how well my stats are doing here on HubPages. What is not showing is how well monetarily I am doing. After 10 months and 104 hubs later, I am making money on all 3 fronts, Amazon, eBay and Adsense.
I am really excited about the direction my hubs are now taking and I will be ramping up my hub production for 2011. If things continue in this direction I will be making the retirement income I am hoping for from just HubPages alone.
Thank You HubPages for giving me a platform in which to make money online and for all my new friends that I have been able to network with who have had a huge hand in helping me to learn how to make money online!

I think this is the first time that any HubLog ever consider the networking aspect this challenge offers for writers. If someone can make it all the way through these 60 days, they probably have the moxy to be a possible future business partner, dont ya think!
Hi Back Sunforged! I believe networking is a huge part of building any business. These partnerships can build a business so much quicker than going it alone. No one person can be good at everything. Networking just builds strength to any business. even Google now builds that into their equation for ranking a site.

I had noticed that during the last challenge many of the people already knew each other and had a working relationship. I am not sure if you all kept in touch after the challenge, but I know I didn't much. I think this was a huge loss. Even the 60dc forum went dead. So I am hoping to focus more on building relationships here that could be beneficial later.

Hi Boomer. I am a babyboomer too if that is the basis of your moniker (avatar). As a silver surfer a lot of this is pretty new to me although I have been in computer software design since the late 70's. The learning experience is great although initially a little alien. I look forward to learning from the experienced 60DC crew in the first instance. Perhaps then I can prove my worth by showing a little out-of-the-box thinking and action that will assist us all.
I know very few of those that have signed up to participate (Izzy, Wavegirl and maybe a couple of others in passing) so making new friends and business partners will be great for me.
